Since she appeared as a cast member in the movie - In Living Color, Jennifer Lopez has been renowned not just as a screen diva but as a pop star with hits like "Jenny from the Block". She has starred in huge box office success movies that have helped her win the hearts of fans all over the world. 
Though over the years, she has experienced soaring highs and crushing lows in her acting career, through resilience and perseverance, she has become a global superstar who got nominated for Grammys and Billboard Music Awards. Antz

Described as a technically dazzling animated adventure that could captivate both children and adults. Antz features a stellar voice cast including Sylvester Stallone, Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, and of course Jenifer Lopez. The animated adventure comedy film was directed by Eric Darnell and Tim Johnson.
The story follows a young ant Z, that tried to break away from his anthill after meeting and falling in love with Princess Bala at a bar where she goes to escape from her suffocating royal life.
After his return from a supposed suicidal war, he was portrayed as a war criminal by General Mandible and the rest is history.

Selena

Written and directed by Gregory Nava, Selena was the movie that earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Actress - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her performance.
In this movie, Jennifer Lopez starred as the late Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. The singer Selena (Lopez) got extremely famous from chart-topping albums but was gruesomely murdered by her fan club manager, Yolanda Saldivar.

Second Act 

In this thought-provoking movie, Jennifer Lopez plays a value shop assistant Maya Vargas, who dedicated 15 years of her working career in the same company. However, on her 43rd birthday, she wished to be appreciated with a promotion to an administrative position – unfortunately, that wish was unfulfilled. 
The company hired a college-educated candidate to fill the vacancy. That made her feel disappointed and depressed.
But her best friend’s son, Dilly (Dakton Harrod), came to the rescue by creating a fake professional profile for her. That became the breakthrough she was looking for but it came with a lot of challenges and responsibilities that looked insurmountable.

Hustlers 

This is another crime drama film that Jenifer Lopez displayed a scintillating performance. The movie was directed by Lorene Scafaria. The story was based on an article written by Jessica Pressler for New York magazine. The film portrayed a rich cast - Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Julia Stiles, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, and more.
Apart from the popular films described above, there are others that got bad reviews and was highly criticized by her fans - "Gigli" (2003), "The Boy Next Door" (2015), and the Wedding Planner (2001).
